E2 was founded in 1996 by President Thomas Goetsch, in response to an invitation from a former Minister of Education of Kazakhstan. With a group of like minded men and women, E2 invested in the next generation of young leaders in Central Asia, by bringing over US business executives and educators to teach intensive seminars in universities. Selecting the very best students and young professionals for 1 month business exposure internships in the US.

In the last 10 years, we have been investing in young leaders in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's largest city and home to top universities that attract high achieving students from all over Central Asia.
Responding to rapid development, we have expanded our leadership development program to include 12-18 month international internships in the US for exceptional students and young professionals. Investing in them for a whole year to fully support their aspirations back home.
